I was introduced to the music of Stiff Little Fingers by some friends back in high school. Years later, it still blows me away. Written against the backdrop of the violent conflicts in Northern Ireland, “Wasted Life” bleeds with an incredible rawness and desperation, in a veracious tirade against war.
As the global elite continue to create wars throughout the world, and convince conformist populations to fight them under false banners of “Freedom” and “Duty”, these lyrics have never been more more relevant. How many have willingly sacrificed their life for these controllers, who create and exploit all sides of these conflicts? How many have sacrificed their personal beliefs, carrying out murders, on the command of their superiors, on the command of their superiors, on the command of their superiors... How long will it take before humans THINK FOR THEMSELVES?
